IGS Solar Completes Installation of Bourne Community Solar Farm
Dublin, OH, February 3, 2016 – IGS Solar, LLC, a turn-key commercial and residential solar provider, together with Beaumont Solar Co., a full-service solar developer and design/build provider based in New Bedford, MA, recently completed the installation of a 1.3MW ground-mounted solar farm in Bourne, MA. The system is now online and providing electricity to area residents and businesses.
IGS Solar financed, owns and will operate the system for the next 20 years. Located at 53 MacArthur Blvd in Bourne, the purpose of the farm is to provide participants an opportunity to save on their electric bills while playing a vital role in bringing more clean energy to the community. Participants can expect to soon receive credits to their utility bills based on monthly output from the solar farm. As part of the project, IGS Solar and the primary customer in the program, the Bourne Recreation Authority, signed a long-term agreement to provide more than 80% of the annual power needs to the John Gallo Ice Arena.
