IGS Energy Acquires Border Energy
Dublin, OH- IGS Energy announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Border Energy, a retail supplier of natural gas and electricity headquartered in Powell, Ohio. The transaction for the gas business became effective on August 31, 2014 and the power business will be effective as of September 30, 2014 upon approval by FERC for the Change in Control.
The acquisition will add approximately 70,000 customers (in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio) to IGS Energy’s customer base of over one million across the country. IGS Energy will honor all of Border’s existing contracts, so no action is required by customers at this time. Customers may contact IGS Energy at 1-888-479-4427 if they have specific questions. Border Energy customers will receive the same exceptional customer service with IGS Energy that they have been accustomed to receiving. IGS Energy intends to retain many Border Energy employees.
