As the opioid epidemic continues to grip Ohio and the nation, with more than 5,000 opioid-related overdose deaths in the state in 2017, IGS has stepped up to fight this crisis. This year, IGS became a member of the Ohio Opioid Education Alliance as one of the more than 40 Ohio partners committed to spread a message of prevention and education around the dangers of prescription opioid misuse and abuse.
IGS encourages our members to not only talk to their kids about the dangers of opioid misuse and abuse, but also to get involved. Educate your friends and family about proper prescription opioid disposal and how to safely secure prescriptions. Please visit DontLiveinDenial.org for more information.
