IGS Energy Named 2nd Best Place to Work in Central Ohio
IGS Energy was recognized as a Best Place to Work by Columbus Business First, placing second in the newly-added extra-large category (at least 250 local employees).
IGS Energy was recognized as a Best Place to Work by Columbus Business First, placing second in the newly-added extra-large category (at least 250 local employees). Last year, the company ranked second in the medium category, and placed third in the same category in 2013.
“This recognition is an honor because it’s an expression of the warm, collaborative, family-like culture we’ve worked hard to cultivate and nurture here at IGS for 26 years,” explained Scott White, president and CEO of the energy company.
In addition to IGS Energy, 51 companies were honored at an awards program Nov. 12 at the Hilton Columbus Downtown. Ranging in size, awards were presented across five categories, including the extra-large category; large companies with 100-249 employees; medium companies with 50-99 local employees; small companies with 25-49 workers; and micro organizations of 10-24 employees.
Columbus Business First used Quantum Workplace, which has conducted employment engagement studies for some of America’s best-known corporations, to survey employees about their work environments. Quantum used a web-based questionnaire to gather opinions from workers of the companies and nonprofit institutions that became candidates for the Best Places to Work award.
The Best Places to Work program is open to any company or organization with a Central Ohio office with at least 10 full-time employees.
