Dublin, OH, March 13, 2017 – IGS, a residential and commercial energy provider based in Central Ohio, held their 2nd Annual Day of Service on March 9, 2017. Across all of their offices throughout seven states, more than 700 IGS employees gave back to their communities, and companywide they provided more than 3,500 combined hours of volunteer service. Fifty organizations were supported during the All-Employee Day of Service.
Throughout the country, employees spent the day volunteering at a variety of nonprofits, including Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity, community food pantries, and animal shelters.
Jen Bowden, IGS’ director of community investment said, “Giving back has always been important to IGS leadership and employees. This day demonstrated that shared commitment by allowing employees to take a business day to support the communities where we live and work. The feedback has been extremely positive from our employees. They felt like they made a difference and had so much fun in the process!”
IGS launched their community investment program, IGS Impact, in 2015 to formalize their ongoing commitment to making a positive impact on the world.
